As an expectant mom who prefers simplicity, I’m quick to raise my eyebrow at the immense selection at hand. I wonder, is this 3-in-one gizmo going to make life easier, or merely take up space in my already-cluttered world? How did the women of yesteryear make due?

But here’s my question: Is Earth Day, Earth Week, and Earth Month a big deal to you? Over the past few years they’ve decreased in importance to me. Hell, I even completely forgot about Earth Hour last month.
The origins of the Earth Day movement were pretty specific (and also closely-related to anti-Vietnam war protesting), but is it a tradition/celebration that needs to happen on one day a year, every year?

Old bicycle tires get more mileage as upcycled belts
There is no shortage of things you can make out of old bicycle tubes.
Seriously, off the top of my head I can think of high-end messenger bags, a Queen Anne wallet for her, bi-fold wallet for him, and a very chic laptop sleeve.
