Marshmallow Peeps get their yoga on for Easter
It’s nice when sugary treats decide to get themselves in shape so they can be as easy on your diet as possible when you inevitably bite their fluffy heads off.
Check out this awesome diorama scene that pictures one of everybody’s favorite Easter sweets, Marshmallow Peeps, getting their yoga on (and how to make your own such scene).

Geek chic: DIY R2D2 high heels
Geeks can be fashionistas too.
The Instructables author of this DIY project says,
“These R2D2 shoes are the hottest thing this side of Tatooine and they’re cooler than Hoth.
The wide heel of these shoes was removed and replaced with a steel bolt to provide strength and support, but at a fraction of the size. An R2D2 toy covers the heel bolt, and the toes have been decorated with lenses, blue accents, and a blinking red LED to let everyone know just how this droid rolls.”
This project, while epic and totally awesome, will take more than the average DIY femme. Why? Because, in addition to others, the tools list includes:
MIG welder
soldering iron
propane torch
rotary tool
electric drill
Nevertheless, what better way to man your R2D2 barbecue grill or implement some Storm Trooper rodent controlthan in these high heels? May the force be with you.

Turn a wine bottle into a hummingbird feeder
Winter’s grip may be at full strength, but the gradual warmth of spring is just around the corner.
Go ahead and polish off a few bottles of booze to prepare your yard or balcony for your feathered friends that return with that warmth.
We’ve talked about all kinds of clever uses for empty wine bottles before, but turning one into a bird feeder is a worthy addition to that list.

3 DIY Halloween wine bottle decorations

What is the perfect way to deal with kids that are all hopped up on a Halloween sugar rush?
Alcohol — for the adults, not to counteract the little ghouls’ and goblins’ sugar high, for the record.
If you’re going to be cracking open a bottle or two of vino this week (or happen to have a few already empty bottles laying around) you can make them into some super cheap and awesome looking Halloween decorations.

3 DIY projects using 2-liter plastic soda bottles
Confession — I love soda. Specifically, Diet Coke.
Yeah yeah, it’s terrible for you. I know this, but it’s my vice.
The good news is that there are a great many DIY projects that can utilize empty 2-liter soda bottles. The following three projects are some of my current favorites.

Epic DIY Imperial AT-AT Walker on a tandem bicycle
Did you know that those Imperial AT-AT Walkers that assaulted the Rebel base on Hoth were pedal powered?
Well, they probably weren’t, actually, but if the Empire could have figured out how to implement it, I’m sure they would have. You know, Darth Sidius (the Emperor) and Darth Vader really were pretty forward thinking folks.
…not to mention the fact that being an intergalactic sheriff is hard work, and sometimes, requires taking a little break — it’s a good thing that riding a bike is a great way to recharge the proverbial batteries.

Dueling Banjos on Tesla coils

When Nikola Tesla invented Tesla coils, he probably didn’t imagine an epic dueling banjo battle being played out on his high current electrical transimtters, but that hasn’t stopped it from happening.

The thing that really is cool about this is that the arcs coming from the Tesla coils are NOT simply responding to the music, they are MAKING the music by the frequency they are firing at.
