Dueling Banjos on Tesla coils

When Nikola Tesla invented Tesla coils, he probably didn’t imagine an epic dueling banjo battle being played out on his high current electrical transimtters, but that hasn’t stopped it from happening.

The thing that really is cool about this is that the arcs coming from the Tesla coils are NOT simply responding to the music, they are MAKING the music by the frequency they are firing at.

World’s Quickest Electric Car Is a ’72 Datsun, Does 0-60 in 1.8 Seconds!
Out on the dragstrip, the last vehicle you’d expect to be crushing BMWs and Ferraris is a 1972 Datsun. But John Wayland’s White Zombie is anything but ordinary. The electrified Datsun 1200 does 0-60 in a jaw-dropping 1.8 seconds.
The two-door coupe sports a dual-armature 9″ series-wound electric motor that was especially built for Wayland. Its battery pack is 192 lithium-polymer cells totaling to 355 Volts and 22.7 kWh of energy. The vehicle has a 90-mile range and it is even street legal. With over 500-plus horses, it’s no surprise the Zombie takes a quarter-mile in just ten seconds.

How to shift gears on your bike…with your mind

You’d expect a clever pun and funny video to follow with a title like this right? But you’d be wrong.

This technology is real. It’s been over a decade since the Prius hit the roads and Deeplocal — a Pittsburgh-based design group — wanted to bring the same level of innovation to a bike that the Prius brought to the auto world when it debuted.

This crazy technology is part of Toyota’s Prius Projects contest and I must say, it would definitely get my vote!

Lithuanian mayor crushes luxury car parked in bike lane with a tank
Local citizens of the town are reportedly tired of luxury car owners constantly parking in the various cycleways and have requested the local council do something about it.
So, as reassurance that the public can rely on the council to clear up such matters, mayor of Vilnius, Arturas Zuokas, jumped in an army troop carrier and drove over a Mercedes-Benz S-Class that was parked in the lane. Now that is what you call a proactive council.
Zuokas said, “I’ve had enough of these drivers parking their luxury cars on bike lanes and pedestrian crossings. This tank is a good tool to solve the problem of parking in the wrong place.”
The message was recently posted up on the mayor’s Facebook page along with the image.
